Welcome to ‘The Diary of a Digital Nobody’.

I’ve been calling myself digitally anonymous for some years as I’m absent from social media except for LinkedIn, but that’s for work. I’m a Digital Nobody.

If you have stumbled across this site, apart from the weekly diary of my non-work life, you’ll find my current obsession, a New Year’s resolution, learning to become a podcaster, and perhaps in time you’ll also be able to hear my musings.

Many have hobbies, I call them obsessions because I tend to get caught up in them almost to the exclusion of everything else. This diary will then morph into a digital scrapbook, with several additional pages for other resolutions and obsessions made in recent years, many of which I aim to rekindle, to provide additional fuel and variety for the diary.

The title is taken from ‘The Diary of a Nobody’ by George and Weedon Grossmith. First published in Punch in May 1888 and then in book form in the summer of 1892, it has stood the test of time being frequently reprinted. It is the comic portrayal of suburban life, the life of Mr Pooter, the fictitious diarist.
