Sorry Richard, but I had to have a go at my Podcast Logo, the next few episodes of your podcast will have to wait. I downloaded Canva (its free), searched for a template with the word Podcast, and a few minutes later, voila!

Now this is where I could do with some honest feedback, and I’ll accept four letter words.

Maximo is the software product that I will be writing about. Target time is 3 minutes to 15 minutes maximum; I doubt anyone will listen for longer than that. I was trying to make it obvious that it’s not going to take up your whole day.

• Are the images of coffee cup and doughnut too much, naff perhaps? I could lose the coffee cup, or indeed both.
• The fonts are what come with the template, but I’m not sure about the heading font, perhaps too blocky. I did try others, but they didn’t seem quite right with the microphone.
• Is this going to look too much like every other podcast logo? It is a podcast after all, so why not go for a microphone.
• I don’t have a brand colour, in fact my MaximoSecrets logo has a different colour for every letter, but there is a story behind why (another day). Blue is my favourite colour, white on blue stands out and is clean. Orange and brown go, don’t they?

I’m not an artistic sort of person, so all feedback most welcome – where’s my hard hat.
